To Women,

It’s been a year since we last spoke to you directly on this blog, but we have been working hard in the background to build an organization that we are proud of.

International Women’s Day is about celebrating our collective history and triumph, it is an opportunity to reflect on how far we have come and how much further we have to go. At Sanitary Aid Initiative, we have reflected a lot on the past five years of our work. It has been a journey beyond our wildest imagination.

Making the world a better, safer and more equitable place for women will always be something we strive to do. With opportunities to re-engage our local communities in Nigeria opening up again, we are so excited to re-commit to this cause.

We want to recognize our brilliant team and volunteers who are instrumental to our success. We want to thank every single person for donating to the cause - we would not be able to do anything without your generosity.

The dream remains. One day - someday soon - every girl in Nigeria will be able to experience her period with dignity. And we hope you will continue on this road with us and make this a reality.
